Game concept - quadrillll
quadrillll, 12:26h
1. Type of game: E-Health
We decided to take this topic to improve/refresh your first-aid skills.
2. Stealth game
Stealth games are a somewhat recent sub-genre, sometimes referred to as "sneakers" or "creepers" to contrast with the action-oriented "shooter" sub-genre. These games tend to emphasize subterfuge and precision strikes over the more overt mayhem of shooters. Most have first- or third-person shooter elements. Some of the most known stealth games are the Thief series or the Hitman games.
The game genre is 3D (style like Clank and Ratchet).
3. Mindmap: S.M.A.T. - Special Medications and Tactics
S.M.A.T is a first person Stealth game which is based on giving health-treatment to people who were injured from villains in the neighborhood. You fight against time as health points decrease as long as the patient isn't treated right. When the player makes a false descision, the same type of injury will appear later on in the game again. This continues until it is done right.
The expected skills to be learned are awareness of injuries and which are the right steps to help. When the player finds an injured person, questions appear like "What is the first step you do?". To facilitate the decision, there are some proposals the player can choose from. As the player progresses, the injuries increase in danger for health, life points decrease faster and more answers to the question.
The target group is mainly for teenagers and adults (PEGI12) who want to refresh or improve their first-aid knowledge. (Especially for civil service workers/trainees)
It's a game because you have a character which you can control. You can choose between your health treatments.
The challenge is that the victim has health points which decrease whilst not being cured. If the victim dies - you lose and you cannot move on to the next level.
